Independence Golf Club is off Rt 288 at Hugenot southwest of Richmond partially winding through a residential development.

The Championship course is a parkland style layout through broad, tree lined fairways with a generous amount of sand traps along the fairways and greens and six holes with water hazards in play over land with slight change in elevation. It's an original Tom Fazio layout with a redesign by Lester George and is 7,135 yards from the back tees, 74.6/139, course/slope ratings with four shorter tee boxes.
