Kahler is two hours east of Seattle in the Wenatchee State Forest just south of Lake Wenatchee.

The course wanders along a scenic setting through the pine trees at the base of the ski area in the middle of a national forest. The layout features a couple of drivable par 4s and reachable par 5s in two, but generally is a narrow and hilly, target layout with OB prevalent throughout and several water hazards in play. The course was designed by Randy Pelton in the late 1980s and is short at 5,893 yards from the back tees, 69.1/122, course/slope ratings, par 70 with two shorter tees.
