Kestrel Ridge is on the south side of Columbus about 40 minutes north of downtown Madison partially bordering a residential community.

The layout is a wide open and forgiving off the tee, but is littered with sand traps in addition to numerous water hazards and wetlands with generous, contoured greens of varying shapes. The course was designed by Dan Feick and Chad Eberhardt in 2002 with the tips playing to 6,111 yards, 68.6/121, course/slope ratings and a par of 70 and two shorter tees.
