Kings Mill is located halfway between Marion and Waldo off US 23 on OH 98 on the south bank of the Olentangy River, surrounded by farmland.

The layout traverses mature hardwood-lined fairways with several holes along the River over slightly rolling topography. There are a few ponds and streams in play and less than 10 sand bunkers, but it requires course management along narrow playing corridors and smallish greens. There are three sets of tees from 4,592 yards to 6,156 yards, 68.1/106, and course/slope ratings off the back tees, designed by Jack Kidwell.
