La Cantera is off I-10 on the northwest side of San Antonio at La Cantera Parkway just outside the 1604 Loop.

The Resort Course, where the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open has been held, is notable for its 80 foot quarry walls and dramatic tee shots next to the Superman Krypton Roller Coaster ride at Six Flags. The course has a number of water features along lakes and streams as it traverses oak tree lined fairways running alongside rock outcroppings in addition to 75 sand bunkers. It's 7,023 yards, 72.5/134, course/slope ratings from the pro tees with four other tees available, a Weiskopf/Morrish design from 1995.
