Lake Carlsbad Golf Course is on the east side of Carlsbad with an 18 hole championship layout and a par 3 course along Lake Carlsbad.

The championship layout saunters along desert terrain in the Pecos River Valley with a scattering of small trees along the fairways and several water hazards impacting play. It can play to 6,512 yards, 70.4/118, course/slope rating from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Bill Keith. The par 3 layout is in a scenic setting along the River and plays to a par of 27 at 1,300 yards with holes ranging from 80 yards to 230 yards.
