Lake Isle is about 30 minutes north of Manhattan in Eastchester off the Hutchinson River Parkway at North Ave. The golf course is a upscale, municipal operation owned and operated by the city that accepts outside play.

The layout is a compact, traditional, design and an exercise in course management and strategy winding along narrow, old growth, tree lined fairways with an abundance of sand bunkers along the fairways and defending the greens. It plays to 6,009 yards from the tips with a par of 70, 68.3/119, course/slope ratings and two shorter tees, designed by Devereaux Emmet in the 1920s.
