Lake Michigan Hills is on the northeast side of Benton Harbor off I-196 to the east at Red Arrow Highway.

It's a parkland layout with a mix of open and narrow, tree-lined fairways over level terrain, numerous doglegs, water features, and a generous amount of sand traps at the landing zones and greenside. It's well out in the country without homes or development and quiet, save for the holes along I-196. There are five sets of tees overall, with the White tees at 6,098 yards, 69.1/119, course/slope ratings, designed by Charles Maddox, Sr.
