The Lakeshore Golf Course is on the outskirts of Taylorville on the south side of town on a slight peninsula jutting out into Lake Taylorville.

The layout provides for unique and separated hilly, tree lined fairways with five holes directly on the west bank of the Lake. There's ponds impacting play on a few holes, numerous blind shots and doglegs, and sand bunkers primarily greenside. It was designed by William J. Spear and from the tips plays to 6,778 yards, 72.0/117, course/slope ratings with two shorter tee boxes.
