The Lakeside Country Club is 8 miles south of I-80 at Lexington on the southeast shore of Lake Johnson, surrounded by farmland and the Lake.

The layout is over slightly rolling terrain along broad and narrow fairways defined by trees with four holes bordering the Lake. It's a straightforward layout with several blind shots along gentle doglegs and a scattering of sand bunkers periodically along the landing zones but generally defends the modest to ample oval or kidney-shaped greens. There are three sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,182 yards, 71.2/125 course/slope ratings.
