The Madison CC is north of Madison, between Ridge Road and Lake Erie, on a natural tract of land without homes or development.

The layout is characterized by narrow, hardwood tree-lined fairways over level land with numerous ponds and streams and a modest amount of sand bunkers primarily positioned around the substantial green sites. It can play to 6,487 yards from the tips with a par of 72, 72.2/129, course/slope ratings, and three shorter tees, designed by Sandy Alves.
