The Marine Memorial Golf Course is located in a valley in the foothills of Windmill Canyon between Camp Pendleton North and South just north of Oceanside.

The course is an affordable, old-school traditional layout traveling along fairways defined by trees. It's generally straightforward save for several slight doglegs with sand bunkers mostly defending the modest, oval, or kidney-shaped greens. It's a classic by Billy Bell design from 1948 that's operated by the Marines and plays to 6,865 yards, 72.5/130, course/slope ratings off the tips with three shorter tees.
