Minnesott is about 20 minutes east of New Bern on the north side of the Neuse River in Arapahoe.

The golf course is a parkland layout carved through the pine trees over slightly undulating terrain with a minimal amount of sand bunkers, but with multiple streams and ponds affecting play. There's a variety of compelling risk/reward opportunities and a few doglegs, but otherwise, it's very straightforward and playable. From the back tees it's 6,443 yards, 70.0/124, course/slope ratings; 6,021 yards, 69.2/119 from the white tees with three shorter tees, designed by R.T. Birney.
