Sound of Freedom Golf Course is located on north side of the MCAS Cherry Point on the south shore of the Neuse Rive. The golf course lives up to its name quite often with the F-16's in touch n goes nearby demonstrating the full force of the Marines!

The course is parkland layout carved through the deep woods along the River with the fairways defined by old growth, hardwood trees. There's ponds and wetlands impacting play in addition to sand traps generally positioned to the sides of the greens. The white tees play to 6,250 yards, 69.6/121, course and slope ratings, a George Cobb original design with renovation work done by Clyde Johnson.
