Minnewaska is on the west side of Glenwood, north of Lake Minnewaska, 30 minutes west of Sauk Centre, and 30 minutes south of Alexandria.

The golf course has a challenging layout traversing hilly and sloping fairways, providing stunning views of the Lake. There are homes on a couple of holes, but otherwise, it's nothing but natural corridors and trees lining the fairways. The course has been around since the 1920s but was updated by Joel Goldstrand and plays to 6,483 yards from the tips, 72.0/139 course/slope ratings, and 6,212 yards from the white tees, 70.9/136.
