Mossy Oak is on the southeast side of West Point and is located across from and part of the Old Waverly Golf Club.

The layout meanders over the natural lay of the rolling topography of the Mississippi Black Prairie. It flows along fairways dotted with native oaks bordered by tall native grasses interspersed by creeks and wetlands leading to generous green complexes well defended by an array of sand bunkers. There are five sets of tees from 5,389 yards to 7,212 yards off the tips, and the middle tees play to 5,887 yards, designed by Gil Hanse.
