Mountain View is located 7 miles east of State College off US 322 in Boalsburg.

The golf course is a parkland layout flowing along fairways defined by trees over generally level terrain in a valley of sorts surrounded by Tussey and Nittany Mountains. Spring Creek is the primary obstacle as it winds it way through the front and back nines coming into play on five holes with the small, oval greens mostly defended by sand bunkers. It's rather short at 6,208 yards, 70.9/128, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Lowell Erdman.
