Toftrees is part of the Toftrees Resort Hotel and Conference center located just north of State College off the Nittany Mountain Expressway.

The layout is a parkland design along separate, pine tree lined fairways on hilly terrain carved through the deep woods. It's a challenging design with the narrow fairways bordered by numerous sand traps leading to modest, elevated greens well defended by a series of sand bunkers. From the tips it's 7,107 yards, 74.8/140, course/slope ratings with four shorter sets of tee boxes, designed by Ed Ault.
