The Newport CC is located in Newport, just off I-91, a few miles south of the Canadian border.

The golf course saunters over a scenic setting in the Northeast Kingdom, overlooking Lake Memphremagog to the North, Jay Peak, and Willoughby Gap to the West and South. The layout is characterized by tree-lined fairways with a modest change in elevation, slight doglegs, and a moderate amount of sand bunkers on the green side and in the landing zones off the tee. It's a historic course as it started as a 9 holer in the early 1920s, with the second nine added in the 1960s, designed by Howard Watson. The routing is a par of 72, 6,470 yards from the tips, 69.4/104, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
