Newton Comm is a municipal golf course located 10 miles west of downtown Boston off Commonwealth Avenue to the north in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Newton.

The layout is over a ridge which produces an abundance of odd lies along the hilly and sloping fairways. It's a classic from the 1930s trudging along broad and narrow, fairway corridors lined with old growth hardwoods with streams and ponds in play on seven holes and a generous amount of sand traps defending the modest greens and the occasional landing zone off the tee. It's a short, 5,354 yards, 65.8/122, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Donald Ross.
