Newton Comm is a municipal golf course located 10 miles west of downtown Boston, off Commonwealth Avenue to the north, in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Newton.

The layout is over a ridge, producing an abundance of odd lies along the hilly and sloping fairways. It's a classic from the 1930s, trudging along broad and narrow fairway corridors lined with old-growth hardwoods with streams and ponds in play on seven holes and a generous amount of sand traps defending the modest greens and the occasional landing zone off the tee. It's a short, 5,354 yards, 65.8/122, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Donald Ross.
