Ocala National is within a residential subdivision on the west side of Ocala off I-75, a few miles at the US 27 exit.

The golf course is a challenging parkland layout that moves through narrow, oak and pine-lined fairways bordered by sand bunkers and water hazards, with small, well-defended greens. It's long, at 7,364 yards from the tips, 75.9/141, course/slope ratings, with the Seattle Slew tees at 6,445 yards, 71.7/130, a Rees Jones redesign of the original Charles Pace/Lee Popple layout.
