Olde Mill is located up in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of Laurel Fork in southwestern Virginia and a scenic drive to the course if you don't mind the "slow" drive up or down the Parkway.

The course is a hilly, parkland layout with mostly wide and forgiving landing zones lined by trees. It's well bunkered with over 70 sand traps, water hazards in play on a few holes, and the greens tend to be elevated or crowned. There's four sets of tees from 4,798 yards to 7,060 yards at the tips, the white tees play to 6,308 yards, 72.1/136, course/slope ratings, originally designed by Ellis Maples with redesign work by Dan Maples,
