Skyland Lakes is on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the NC/VA border just west of I-77 about 20 minutes east of Galax.

The layout is a true mountain style, golf course providing scenic views in a natural setting with significant elevation change as it's carved through the woods along a mix of narrow and broad, fairways. It can play to 6,520 yards from the tips, the white tees are 5,955 yards, 66.6/112, course/slope rating for a par of 71, designed by Welch DeBoard.
