The Peninsula is set on Mobile Bay bounded by the Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve just west of Gulf Shores.

Peninsula is a 27 hole layout ambling through live oak and cypress tree stands with lakes at every turn in a natural setting. The fairways are lined with long bunkers, there's multiple water hazards in play, and the greens tend to be elevated with sand guarding the entry points.
