Pilgrim's Run is located about 30 minutes from Grand Rapids in Ensley Township in a secluded setting off US 131 at exit 14 to the west between Lost and Conover Lakes.

This is one scenic golf course as it moves through vast stands of mature pines and hardwoods on hilly terrain, providing a variety of lies and angles to the green. The holes are named after passages from John Bunyan’s book, “Pilgrim’s Progress." The names Difficulty, Sleepy Temptation, Deception, House Beautiful, Dark Valley, Narrow Way, and Entice describe the various and unique holes. The course was designed by employees of VanKampen, the original developer, instead of a well-known architect. All in all, 6 individuals without golf course design experience designed three holes each, with the superintendent Kris Shumaker executing their plans, although Mike DeVries created the greens and sand bunkers. It plays to 7,093 yards, 74.4/143, course/slope ratings from the tips with five sets of shorter tees.
