Piper Glen Golf Club is on the southwest side of Springfield partially within a residential development with homes bordering half of the holes.

The golf course is a parkland layout over rolling terrain with stands of mature hardwood trees at the fairways borders. Polecat Creek and multiple ponds are in play frequently in addition to a variety of shapes and sizes of sand traps along the fairways and defending the greens. There's five sets of tees from 5,138 yards to 7,005 yards at the tips with the middle tees playing to 6,124 yards, 71.8/128, course/slope ratings, designed by Bob Lohmann.
