Potomac Shores Golf Club is 40 minutes south of downtown D.C. off I-95 at Dumfries Road to the east on the Cherry Hills Peninsula along the Potomac River.

The golf course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design flowing through a master planned community. It's a parkland layout weaving over the hilly, forested terrain along the Potomac on a 2,000 acre tract of land. There's over 200 feet of elevation change throughout and stunning shot values as the course moves through the tree lined fairways and along wetlands with a heavy emphasis on sand bunkering both at the landing zones and defending the greens. The greens are on the large size, sloped and contoured with a generous amount of undulation. There's a full size practice range and short game area to compliment the plantation style clubhouse. There's five sets of tees from 4,940 to 7,020 yards with the middle tees at 5,895 yards, 69.4/133, course/slope ratings.
