PrairieView Golf Club is 15 miles southwest of Rockford on the south side of the Rock River in Bryon.

The golf course is a Byron Forest Preserve District layout over a large, natural tract of land bordered by farmland and forests. The layout is along tree lined fairways bordered by tall prairie grasses with several ponds and a stream impacting play and a liberal use of sculptured sand bunkers along the fairways and greenside. There's five sets of tees from 5,219 yards to 7,158 yards at the tips with the middle tees playing to 6,103 yards, 69.7/125, course/slope ratings, designed by James Spear.
