River Bend is on the south side of Shelby off US 64 to the south across from the Shelby Airport off College Avenue.

The layout is through a small residential community with trees or foliage shielding most of the homesites. It's an interesting parkland design along tree lined fairways over rolling hills with water hazards on half the holes and sand bunkers mostly defending the moderate sized, slightly undulating greens. There's four sets of tees, the back tees play to 6,759 yards, 72.5/134, course/slope ratings, designed by Russell Breeden.
