Rivercut is a municipal golf course on the southwest side of Springfield along the James River off Nicholas Road to the west partially bordering a residential community.

The course has a mix of holes either along rolling, tree-lined fairways or flat, open meadows along the River with ponds, streams, and wetlands in play frequently. There's a generous and creative use of sand bunkers at the landing zones and guarding the generous, undulating greens. It was designed by Ken Dye in the late 1990s, and from the back tees will play to 7,066 yards with 3 shorter sets of tees, the white tees play to 6,019 yards, 69.1/119, course/slope ratings.
