Rock Barn Resort is off Exit 133 on the north side of I-40 between Statesville and Hickory, with two 18-hole championship courses in a residential development.

The Jackson course is open to public play and has a parkland layout marching over rolling terrain and along tree-lined fairways with an abundance of sand bunkers and numerous water features, including Lyle Creek. The Tom Jackson design is 6,419 yards, 71.2/130, course/slope with four shorter tees.
