Rock Barn Resort is off Exit 133 on the north side of I-40 between Statesville and Hickory with two 18 hole championship courses in a residential development.

Both courses are parkland layouts marching over rolling terrain and along tree lined fairways with an abundance of sand bunkers and numerous water features including Lyle Creek. The Robert Trent Jones II course plays to 7,182 yards from the back tees, 74.7/140, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees. The Tom Jackson design is shorter at 6,419 yards, 71.2/130, course/slope with four shorter tees.
