The Rockland Golf Club is on the north side of Rockland on Old Country Road south of Lake Chickawaukie in a scenic setting with views of nearby Rockland Harbor and the mountains.

The golf course is a straightforward, parkland style layout along fairways defined by trees with several water hazards, and sand bunkers primarily defending the modest greens. The first hole has an ocean view of the Rockland breakwater and lighthouse while the back 9 overlooks Lake Chickawaukie. There's three sets of tees from 5,097 yards to 6,041 yards from the tips for a par of 70, 69.2/118, course/slope ratings. Wayne Stiles redesigned the original layout in 1932 with an additional nine holes added by Roger Sorrent in the mid-1960s, now the back nine.
