Rockledge is 5 minutes west of downtown Hartford off I-84 at exit 41 on the north side.

The layout is parkland style along well spaced, parallel fairways separated by trees over land with a slight change in elevation. There's a stream running through the middle of the golf course crossing a number of holes in addition to a modest amount of sand bunkers as hazards. The course is 6,440 yards from the blue tees, 70.4/125, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, a re-design by William Mitchell in the 1940s of the original 1920s design by Mike Sherman with some additional history as Tommy Armour was once the head professional here.
