Rustic Canyon is located an hour northwest of downtown L.A in Moorpark, off the Reagan then north on Walnut Canyon.

The layout is a minimalist design which was routed through environmentally protected areas and washes along broad, rolling fairways. There's an array of conventional sand bunkers and waste areas that line the course's fairways and protect the greens. The greens are large, accept the run up shot, and are fast and undulating. It plays to 7,044 yards 73.4/133, course/slope ratings from the tips, 6,049 yards, 69.0/122, course/slope from the white tees with a total of five tees overall. The course was designed by Gil Hanse, the 2016 Olympic Golf Course designer, and Geoff Shackelford opening in 2002.
