The Rutland CC is located about 45 minutes north of Manchester just off Route 7 north of downtown.

The layout, with the Green Mountains as a backdrop, is over slightly undulating, tree lined fairways with East Creek traversing the middle of the course necessitating numerous crossings. It's generally straightforward save for one severe dogleg with a generous amount of sand bunkers defending the fairways and the greens of varying shapes and sizes. George Low designed the original 8 holes in 1902 and Wayne Stiles designed and built the second nine in 1927. There's three sets of tee boxes, the tips play to a par of 70, 6,134 yards, 69.7/125, course/slope ratings.
