The Salem Golf Club is on the southwest side of Salem, off the I-5 at exit 253.

It's a classic, parkland-style layout with every hole carved through old growth, tree-lined fairways, and a small apple orchard with water in play on three holes and modest, raised greens, a few of which are guarded by sand bunkers. The initial owner, Ercel Kay, designed the course in the 1920s and it is somewhat short at 6,236 yards, par 72, 68.3/116, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
