The Salem Golf Club is on the southwest side of Salem off the I-5 at exit 253.

It's a classic, parkland style layout with every hole carved through old growth, tree lined fairways and a small apple orchard with water in play on three holes and modest, raised greens a few of which are guarded by sand bunkers. The course was designed by the initial owner Ercel Kay in the 1920s and is somewhat short at 6,236 yards, par 72, 68.3/116, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
