Sawmill Creek is located just east of Sandusky off Route 2 to the north on Lake Erie

The golf course traverses level terrain bordered by Sheldon's Marsh on the West, Lake Erie on the North, and Sawmill Creek on the East. The fairways are defined by old growth hardwood trees with water features on over half the holes, slight and dramatic doglegs, and sand bunkers defending the fairways and greens of varying shapes and sizes. This is one of Tom Fazio's first solo designs and from the back tees is 6,782 yards, 71.9/128, course/slope ratings, par 71, with three shorter tees.
