Thunderbird Hills is located 15 minutes east of Sandusky on the south side of Huron off Rt 2 at Mudbrook Road with 36 holes on the west bank of the Huron River.

Both layouts are parkland style designs over rolling terrain and along corridors of trees with a modest amount of sand bunkers, multiple water hazards, and generally small greens. The North course is 6,336 yards, 68.0/106, course/slope ratings from the back tees with one shorter tee while the scenic South layout along the River is 6,347 yards, 69.4/115, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
