Shale Creek is located 40 miles south of Cleveland just off I-71 in Medina.

The course was built as part of a real estate development with homes lining a number of the holes. The routing is over somewhat rolling terrain with a few water features including the Rocky River and scattered trees along the fairways with an open links-style feel. It plays to 7,026 yards, 73.5/134, course/slope ratings from the tips with 5 shorter tees, designed by Brian Huntley in 2005.
