Chippewa is a gem located southwest of Akron in Doylestown off Great Lakes Blvd, just north of Clinton.

The course has a variety of challenging holes winding through the tree-lined hills of Central Ohio. The fairways are generally broad with old-growth, hardwood trees at the borders but narrow on approach to the greens well defended by sand bunkers. The back nine is a shade more challenging as it moves through the hills, with holes 14, 15, and 16 known as the "Bermuda Triangle," offering an opportunity to soil a good round completely. From the Blue Tees, it's 6,756 yards, 71.8/122, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by James Harrison and Ferdinand Garbin in the early 1960s.
