Spearfish Canyon is on the east side of Spearfish just off and bordering I-90 in the Black Hills.

The golf course is a tale of two nines. The original, front side from 1921 marches over hilly terrain along tree lined fairways with small, push-up greens while the backside features broad, undulating fairways with generous green complexes. There's a couple of ponds and a stream in play, but little in the way of sand traps overall. It plays 6,667 yards from the back tees, 67.3/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
