The Spring Valley Golf Course is just east of Milpitas in the golden foothills on Calaveras in a natural setting adjoining a park.

The layout traverses generally broad fairways defined by trees over slightly undulating terrain. It features numerous slight doglegs, a series of holes bordering a large pond, and a sprinkling of sand traps defending some of the modest oval or kidney shaped greens. It plays to a short 6,140 yards, 68.8/112, course/slope ratings off the rear tees with two shorter tees, designed by Ray Anerson.
