Stonetree is located on the east side of Skylark Field off 190 east of town and was the former Killeen Municipal Golf Course until a $5 Million renovation. The improvements included adding 8 new holes along with a large putting and chipping green, a short game area, and a double-ended driving range with 25 hitting stations.

The golf course layout flows over level land with scattered trees along the fairways, numerous water features, and a modest amount of sand traps generally positioned around the greens. It was designed by Larry Singletary and plays to 7,153 yards from the tips, 73.5/129, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
