Sugarbush is 14 miles east of Flint, off I-69 to the north in Davison.

The course is on the north side of Potters Lake, with one hole bordering the Lake. The layout has a generally level topography along straightforward, tree-lined fairway corridors with water features in play on half the holes but less than 20 sand bunkers overall. There are five tees from 5,041 yards to 7,283 yards; the white tees play to 6,503 yards, 72.0/135, course/slope ratings, designed by Larry Mancour.
