Sugarbush is in the Green Mountain National Forest about an hour from Burlington off I-89 at Waterbury.

The layout is a mountain style layout providing for scenic views of the Mad River Valley throughout the round. It's a hilly course with blind shots and a few doglegs along the broad, tree lined fairways with minimal sand traps mostly around the greens. There's four sets of tees altogether with the tips playing to 6,464 yards, 71.4/131, course/slope ratings, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
