Sweetens Cove is located about 30 minutes west of Chattanooga just off I-24 at exit 152.

The golf course is a 9 hole, parkland layout surrounded by mountains in a subtle valley with multiple water hazards along with a variety of styles and shapes of sand bunkers in play. The hard and fast, fescue lined fairways are bordered by strategic, natural sand bunkers with with fescue collars. The greens range from small to massive, and are contoured and sloping with moderate undulations. The setting is natural and scenic without homes or development, and the amenities minimal as well as the greens fees. There's three sets of tees with the tips playing to 3,301 yards, 35.4/128, course/slope ratings. The course is the former Sequatchie Valley Golf Club which has been around since the early 1950s, but renovated and updated by Rob Collins and Tad King.
