Taconic, owned by Williams College, is just south of the Vermont state line in Williamstown.

The golf course is a parkland layout over level terrain surrounded by the Berkshires. The fescue lined fairways are bounded by stands of mature trees intersected by a stream with a generous amount and variety of sand bunkers defending the fairways and the green complexes. It plays to 6,808 yards, 73.5/136, course/slope ratings from the championship tees with three shorter tee boxes. The initial layout was designed by Wayne Stiles in 1927 and renovated by Gil Hanse in 2008.
