Tanasi is part of the Tellico Lake development about 45 minutes southwest of Knoxville on the west side of the Little Tennessee River.

The golf course is a parkland design sauntering along a residential community with unique and isolated fairways and three holes with forced carries over Tellico Lake. The layout is straightforward with several other water hazards in play and sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens in a setting providing views of Tellico Lake and the Smoky Mountains throughout the round. There's four tee boxes, the blue tees are 6,731 yards with 70.0/123, course/slope ratings, an Ault Clark design.
