The Freeport Club is on the southwest side of Freeport, just north of Yellow Creek and Krape Park.

The layout is challenging as it marches over rolling contours along fairway corridors flanked by old-growth hardwoods. Sand bunkers defend the sides of the modest green complexes and a couple of water features. Otherwise, it's a shot-maker's layout with numerous doglegs and constant elevation change. It's a short, 6,366-yard, 70.8/122 course/slope rating off the back tees with two shorter tes designed by Harry Collis.
