The Ridge is on Salt Lake's southwest side, just east of the Hercules and south of West 4700 South.

There's a slight change in elevation as the course moves over wide open, fescue-lined fairways open to the elements along several water hazards with sand bunkers at the landing zones and securing the greens. The course is in a scenic setting with views of the entire Valley and Salt Lake City from the elevated tees on many holes with the mountains as a backdrop. It was designed by Gene Bates and plays to 6,753 yards from the tips, 70.5/125, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
