The Ridge is on the southwest side of Salt Lake just east of the Hercules and south of West 4700 South.

There's slight change in elevation as the course moves over wide open, fescue lined fairways open to the elements along several water hazards with sand bunkers at the landing zones and securing the greens. The course is situated in a scenic setting with views of the entire Valley and Salt Lake City from the elevated tees on many holes with the mountains as a backdrop. It was designed by Gene Bates and plays to 6,753 yards from the tips, 70.5/125, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
